Biofabrication

Our research in biofabrication focuses on creating and understanding materials and structures that bridge biology and engineering. By combining natural design principles with digital modeling and manufacturing technologies, we explore how mineralized tissues, polymers, and hybrid composites can be fabricated and tailored for function. Image-based modeling and simulation provide insight into growth, architecture, and performance, while experimental validation ensures that engineered structures can adapt to real biological and technological environments. In this way, we aim to advance sustainable materials and regenerative solutions for both biomedical and industrial applications.
